Website for a physiotherapy clinic: how to present services by condition so patients find you

Patients don't search "physiotherapist" - they search "back pain" or "meniscus recovery." Here's how to structure your site by condition.

When someone wakes up with a locked back or comes out of meniscus surgery, they don't open Google and type "physiotherapist near me" first. They type what they feel: "lower back pain can't bend over," "recovery after ACL surgery," "numb hand at night." They search for the problem, not your profession.

This is where most clinics lose patients. They have a single "Services" page listing ten techniques (physiotherapy, massage, manual therapy, electrotherapy) and wait for the phone to ring. But Google has no page to show for "meniscus recovery," because nowhere on the site does it clearly say so. The fix isn't to write more - it's to structure differently: one page for each condition you treat most often.

Think in conditions, not techniques

Do a simple exercise: write down the top reasons patients called you last month. Almost certainly you'll get a short, repetitive list - low back pain, neck pain, post-op knee recovery, herniated disc, frozen shoulder, sprain recovery, childhood scoliosis.

Those are your pages. Each frequent condition deserves its own page, with its own title and its own address. Not because "SEO demands it," but because that's how the patient thinks: they don't want "services," they want to know that you handle exactly what hurts them.

The techniques (massage, electrotherapy, kinesiotaping) stay - but as tools you mention inside each condition page, not as the main subject.

What a condition page that converts looks like

A good page answers, in the patient's own words, the questions they ask themselves before calling:

  • What you have, in plain language ("lower back pain that runs down the leg")
  • Why it happens and why it won't just go away on its own
  • What a recovery plan actually looks like at your clinic - roughly how many sessions, what happens at the first visit
  • What you do differently from "here are some exercises, good luck"
  • When to come in and when to see a doctor first

Write as if explaining to a patient in the room, not like a medical leaflet. No needless jargon. Use a real photo from your clinic, not stock, and a clear booking button at the end of each section. A patient in pain won't scroll three times looking for how to call.

The titles and addresses that get you found

The technical details matter more than they seem. Each condition page needs:

  • A heading (H1) containing the actual condition: "Recovery after meniscus surgery" - not "Orthopedic services"
  • A clean address like /meniscus-recovery, not /page-4
  • An SEO title and description that include your city, if you work within a region

Then link them together: on the herniated disc page, a link to low back pain; on the knee page, to sprains. A patient reading about one problem often recognizes another. Google understands you have a serious site built around a clear field, not a single page trying to be about everything.

Don't promise a cure - build trust

In rehab, trust sells better than any slogan. Steer clear of promises like "pain gone in 3 sessions" - informed patients sense they're false, and you risk trouble with health advertising rules too.

What actually builds trust:

  • The physiotherapist's name and qualifications, with a photo
  • Honest explanations: what can improve, what also depends on the patient's discipline at home
  • Real testimonials, with consent, ideally tied to that condition
  • Clarity about price, or at least how it's set (assessment, then plan)

A patient who feels you understand exactly what they're going through, and that you're telling the truth, picks up the phone far more easily than one buried in superlatives.

How to start without overcomplicating it

You don't need ten pages on day one. Start with three or four conditions you already get the most patients for, and write them well. Add one a month, based on what people ask you on the phone - those are your next topics, exactly.

At MPO Web Studio we work remotely with clinics across the country and build this condition-based structure from the start, with transparent pricing and a ready-made demo before you pay anything - so you can see concretely what your site would look like, not just imagine it.

If you'd like us to look at your conditions together and how you might lay them out on the site, send us a message on WhatsApp. We'll tell you honestly what's worth doing and what isn't, without selling you things you don't need.

Frequently asked questions

How many condition pages should I have?+

There's no magic number. Start with the three or four most frequent cases in your clinic and expand gradually. Fewer, seriously written pages beat many shallow ones that neither Google nor the patient takes seriously.

Isn't it simpler to put everything on one services page?+

It's simpler to build, but it leaves you invisible. A page trying to be about every condition matches no specific search clearly. Separate pages, each about one problem, have a real chance to appear exactly when someone searches for that problem.

How long until I appear in Google after making the pages?+

Honestly: not instantly, and no serious person guarantees the top spot. It usually takes from a few weeks to a few months, depending on competition in your city. On very specific, niche searches you tend to show up faster than on general terms.

Can I write the texts myself or do I need a specialist?+

You're the best placed to explain the conditions - you live them daily with patients. Ideally you write the ideas in your own words, and someone who handles the site arranges the structure, titles and addresses. That way it comes out both medically correct and findable.
