Website for a Credit Broker: How to Turn Visitors Into Loan Leads

For a credit broker, someone Googling 'refinancing' at 11 PM won't call a Facebook page the next day. They leave their details where they see compared offers, a simulator, and why you're independent from the banks. Here's what a site that brings loan leads actually looks like.

For a credit broker, the most expensive thing isn't a lost commission — it's the person Googling "refinance my loan" at 11 PM on a Sunday, scared of their rate, with nowhere to leave their details. A Facebook page doesn't catch that moment. A website for a credit broker exists precisely to catch that person in the second they need you: while they're worried, motivated and ready to compare. The rule we work by: every second between their question ("what would my payment be?") and an answer you give them must be eliminated.

Your job is already about trust and comparison. The site is where you prove both before the first phone call.

Why a credit broker needs a site, not just social media

Someone taking a mortgage is making perhaps the biggest financial decision of their life. They don't make it from an Instagram story. They make it after reading, comparing, checking who you are. Social media keeps you in mind; the site closes the decision.

There's another reason, specific to your niche: trust. A credit broker handles sensitive data — income, debts, ID numbers at some point. A Facebook profile can't show that you're registered with ANPC as a credit intermediary (under OUG 52/2016), that you carry professional liability insurance, that you're a real entity with an office and people. A site can. And for someone about to tell you what they earn, that proof is the difference between a lead and a closed tab.

And practically: on social you don't show up when someone actively searches "credit broker Cluj" on Google. On a site you do — if it's built for local search.

The feature that matters most: the simulator + offer comparison

If your site has one element worth building perfectly, it's the payment simulator tied to lead capture. Not a simulator that spits out a number and lets them leave. One that, after the person enters the amount, term and loan type, shows a realistic range — then says: "To compare the real offers from 8 banks, leave your number, I'll call you within 30 minutes during working hours."

This does three things at once, all specific to brokerage:

  • Comparison: your value is seeing offers from multiple banks in one place. The site must promise this visually — a simple "Bank / APR / estimated payment" table says more than ten paragraphs. Don't list fixed rates that go stale; show the logic: "we compare X banks, we bring you the best fit for your profile."
  • Qualified lead capture: the simulator filters. Whoever fills in amount and term is far closer to signing than whoever hits like. That data tells you what they're bringing before you even call.
  • Independence: here you show you're not a bank's employee. Say it plainly: "We don't work for a bank, we work for you. That's why we compare everything." For a client burned by a bank advisor who only sold the house product, this is the decisive argument.

A simulator doesn't have to be complex to build. It has to be correct, honest ("an estimate, not a firm offer") and ask for the details at the right moment — after the person has already received value, not before.

What a converting broker site looks like

A site that brings loan leads, not just visits, has a few fixed things:

  • One clear message up top: "We compare loans from multiple banks and bring you the best rate — free for you." The person must understand in 3 seconds what you do and why it's free for them (the bank pays you).
  • The simulator visible immediately, not buried in a menu. It's the magnet.
  • Loan types as separate sections: mortgage, personal, refinancing, business loans. Each with its own page, because someone searching "refinancing" is a different person from "first-home loan." Each page, its own button.
  • Concrete trust proof: the ANPC registration number, real Google reviews, a short "who we are" with real faces. With money, anonymity kills conversion.
  • A 3-step process: "1. Fill in the simulator. 2. We compare the offers. 3. You choose and we help with the file." People want to know they won't get lost in bureaucracy.
  • A short contact form + WhatsApp, because many loan clients don't want to call but will message instantly.

The rule holds: any element standing between the person and the act of leaving their details must be eliminated. One extra form field, one pointless step, one vague promise — all lower your leads.

What a credit broker website costs

It depends on how many loan types you sell and whether you want an interactive simulator. Our prices, transparently:

PackagePriceFor whom
Landing€290–490A broker with one focus (e.g. only mortgage/refinancing), simple simulator + form
Presentation€490–890All loan types as separate pages, simulator, trust section
Shopfrom €690Rarely needed in brokerage; only if you sell products/consulting online
Maintenancefrom €29/monthUpdates, backups, small changes, security
AEO/GEOfrom €290To appear in AI answers and local search

For most brokers, a Presentation package is the right choice: it covers all loan types, includes the simulator and room for trust proof. For how the price is built, see the guide on what a website costs.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a loan simulator on my site, or is it too complicated?+

A simple simulator is the single most valuable feature for a broker, and it's not complicated to build. It doesn't need to calculate exact rates from every bank — it needs to give an honest estimate and, more importantly, ask for the client's number at the right moment. It's your main lead magnet. It's included in the Presentation package (€490–890).

Can I put the banks' interest rates on the site?+

We recommend not listing fixed figures, because rates change often and a site with outdated data loses credibility exactly with the client who's comparing. It's better to show the logic — 'we compare offers from multiple banks and bring you the best one for your profile.' That also underlines your independence from the banks, which is your main argument.

How do I show on the site that I'm trustworthy with sensitive financial data?+

Display your ANPC registration number as a credit intermediary, mention your professional liability insurance, add real Google reviews and a short 'who we are' with real faces. With money, the client checks who you are before telling you their income — concrete proof is the difference between a lead and a closed tab.

Which loan types should have separate pages?+

At least mortgage, personal loans, refinancing and, if you work with companies, business loans. Each deserves its own page because someone searching 'refinancing' has a different problem from 'first-home loan.' Separate pages also mean you appear in more specific searches and convert better, because the message is targeted exactly at their need.

How long until my site is ready, and will it bring clients immediately?+

A Presentation package for brokerage usually takes 1–2 weeks, depending on how many loan types you include and whether you want a simulator. We don't promise 'number one on Google' or overnight leads — the site is the foundation that captures clients already searching for you and those arriving from ads or referrals. With AEO/GEO and local SEO, visibility grows over time.
