A Website for Coaches & Consultants: Earn Trust Before the First Call

A coach sells trust, and trust isn't built in a story. What a website that fills your calendar with discovery calls looks like: clear positioning, a method, honest results — and concrete prices.

For a coach or consultant, the most expensive thing isn't the unsold hour — it's the referral that dies in silence. A former client praises you over coffee, the person googles you that evening — and finds an Instagram profile full of motivational quotes and a LinkedIn untouched for eight months. They don't call. They don't write. They move on, and you never even find out you lost them.

That's the difference between coaching and a barbershop: at the barbershop, the client risks a bad haircut. With you, they risk hundreds of euros, several months of their life and — hardest to admit — the hope that this time something will actually change. Nobody takes that risk based on a story. A coach sells trust, and trust needs a place to be built.

We are the MPO Web Studio team from the Cluj / Cluj-Napoca area, and we build websites for local businesses and independent professionals, 100% remotely, anywhere in Romania. Below we show you what a website for a coach / consultant looks like when it fills your calendar with discovery calls — not one built just to exist.

Why a coach needs a website, not just LinkedIn and Instagram

Social media does its job: it's where people discover you and where you show your thinking. But when it comes to actually selling, it has three problems.

First: you don't control it. The algorithm decides who sees your post, and the rules change overnight.

Second: your profile doesn't answer, in order, the questions people ask themselves before paying — what exactly you work on, what the process looks like, how long it takes, how much it costs, what happened to others like them. On Instagram, the answers are buried under hundreds of posts. On a website, they're one scroll away, in exactly the order people look for them.

Third, and most costly: the moment of decision. The half-convinced visitor lands on your profile with no clear next step, so they follow you "to keep an eye on you". In other words, they postpone. A good website gives them one small, concrete step: book a free call.

The discovery call: the piece that fills your calendar

Almost nobody buys a coaching package worth hundreds of euros straight off the page, like a T-shirt. They buy after a conversation. That's why the centerpiece of a coach's website isn't a gallery of diplomas, but the shortest possible path to that conversation:

  • One button, repeated on every page — "Book a free 30-minute call", not a generic "Contact"
  • An online booking calendar — the visitor picks their own day and time, no message ping-pong, synced with your schedule
  • Two or three questions before the call — "What are you struggling with right now?" filters out the merely curious and gives you real context
  • Automatic email confirmation and reminder — so the call actually happens, not just gets scheduled

The practical difference: instead of negotiating time slots via DM with every curious visitor, your calendar fills itself — and you enter every call already knowing who the person is and what hurts.

What a convincing coach website looks like

The coaching market has a reputation problem: too many people promise guaranteed transformations in 30 days. That's exactly why a sober, concrete website instantly separates you from the noise. It doesn't need ten pages — it needs the right things, in the order the person deciding looks for them:

  • Clear positioning from the first screen — who you work with and on what problem. "Coaching for managers in their first leadership role" convinces; "I unlock your potential" says nothing
  • A professional photo, not a holiday snapshot — in coaching, people buy you before they buy the method
  • Your method, step by step — what working together looks like: the first call, session frequency, duration, what happens in between. A clear process turns coaching from something vague into something buyable
  • Honest results — real testimonials with names and context, or mini case studies: where the client started, what you worked on, where they ended up. No "guaranteed success" — serious clients feel the difference, exactly the way you feel it when someone promises you "the #1 spot on Google" (nobody serious can promise that)
  • Reviews in plain sight — the ones collected via Google reviews, brought onto the site, right next to the booking button
  • The "About" page — nowhere is it read more carefully than on a coach's site: your story, your training, why you do this

The rule we work by is simple: anything standing between the visitor and a booked call must go — and so must any promise you can't back up.

How much a website for a coach costs

For most coaches and consultants, a well-thought-out landing page or a 4–5 page presentation site covers everything described above. Our prices:

Website typePrice
Landing page€290 – 490
Presentation site€490 – 890
Online storefrom €690
Maintenancefrom €29/month
AEO/GEO optimizationfrom €290

An online store only becomes relevant once you sell courses or programs paid directly online. If you want to understand exactly what goes into the price, we've broken it all down in our guide on how much a website costs.

The first step: see what your website could look like, for free

We know a coach sells their own credibility, so we won't ask you to take our word for it. We'll build you a free demo website — with your positioning, your services and your booking button — and only then do you decide whether we work together. Frequently asked questions

I already have Calendly and social media pages. What does a website add?+

Calendly books, but it doesn't convince. The website is where someone who found you through a referral answers their pre-payment questions — method, duration, results, price — and only then clicks the booking button. We connect it all: the site convinces, the calendar books.

I'm just starting out and have no testimonials. What do I put on the site?+

Honesty and clarity. Precise positioning, your step-by-step method and your professional story weigh more than generic praise. You can add results from your previous career or feedback from pro bono clients — real ones, not invented. Testimonials get added along the way.

Can I also sell courses or online programs with direct payment on the site?+

Yes — then we're talking about an online store, from €690, with card payment. To start, though, most coaches only need the discovery-call funnel: a landing page or presentation site, plus a calendar.

How long until the site is ready?+

A landing page usually takes 1–2 weeks from the moment we receive your content; a presentation site 2–4 weeks. Most often the timeline depends on texts and photos — we help with those too.

Should I show my prices on the site or only mention them in the call?+

We recommend at least price ranges. They filter out the merely curious and raise the quality of your discovery calls. If your packages are highly personalized, a "from €X" is enough for people to know the ballpark.
