Website for a tile & ceramics store: turning your showroom into sales
Someone renovating a bathroom looks at dozens of models before setting foot in a showroom. A website for your tile store brings them in already decided. Here's what it needs to sell, not just exist.
For a tile and ceramics store, the most expensive thing isn't the stock in the warehouse — it's the customer who walked in, touched three tiles, said "I'll think about it," and never came back. Renovating a bathroom or kitchen is not a snap decision: people compare, return two or three times, bring their spouse, recalculate the budget ten times. A website for your tile store exists precisely so you don't lose contact between those visits — and so they walk into the showroom already almost decided. Our rule: any element standing between a visitor and a quote request must be removed.
Why a tile store needs a website, not just Facebook
A Facebook page is fine for showing a new delivery or a weekend promo. But the customer searching for "wood-look porcelain tile bathroom" at 10 p.m. doesn't find you on Facebook — they find you on Google, or not at all. Tiles are bought through search: the person already has an idea (marble, concrete, hexagon, mosaic) and types exactly what they want. Without a site that answers that search, the competitor in the next town takes your customer, even if you have the better stock.
A website also gives you something Facebook never will: a catalog you control. You can organize products by room (bathroom, kitchen, outdoor, living), by look (wood, marble, concrete, solid color), by format and by price. The customer filters on their own, at night, in pajamas — and in the morning messages you on WhatsApp: "I want the model in photo 3, how much for 18 sqm?" That's a warm lead Facebook won't bring you.
The feature that matters most: a visual catalog with real photos
If you have budget for one thing done well, build the visual catalog. Tiles sell with the eyes. Nobody buys a tile from a small, pixelated photo off a supplier's catalog — the customer wants to see how the model looks installed, in a real bathroom, in real light.
What makes a catalog that sells:
- Ambient photos, not just product shots. One tile next to another says nothing. A finished bathroom with that ceramic says everything. Photograph your customers' completed jobs (with their permission) — they become your best salespeople.
- Every product with the specs that matter: format (60x60, 30x60, 20x120), finish (matte, glossy, rectified), slip resistance for outdoors, whether it's suited for heavy traffic.
- Grouping by project, not just by SKU. "Complete bathroom set: wall tile + matching floor tile + skirting" sells better than three separate products, because it solves the decision for the person.
- A clear "Request a quote" or "Check stock" button on every product, opening a WhatsApp message directly with the model name pre-filled.
You don't need a full online store with card payment from day one. Most tile customers will want to come to the showroom to touch the material before ordering anyway. The catalog's job is to bring them in decided — or to let them order remotely if they're from another town.
What a site that actually converts visitors into customers looks like
A tile website that converts does four simple things, but does them well:
1. A surface calculator. The most frequent in-store question is "how many boxes do I need?" A mini-calculator on the site (length × width + 10% for cuts and spares) answers instantly and moves the person closer to ordering. It shows you're thinking about their problem, not just the sale.
2. Visible advice, not hidden. Renovation is scary. People don't know what matches, what format works in a hallway, which tile survives frost on a terrace. A section titled "Not sure what to choose? Send us your room dimensions and we'll make a free proposal" turns uncertainty into a conversation. Free advice is the strongest sales argument you have — put it up front.
3. A clearly presented showroom. If you have a physical space, show it: showroom photos, address with a map, hours, "come touch the material." Many customers come two or three times before deciding — make the trip easy. Your Google Business Profile and local SEO matter enormously here, so people in your area find you when they search "tile ceramics" plus your town.
4. Delivery and logistics explained. Tile is heavy and fragile. The out-of-town customer wants to know: do you deliver to me? how much is shipping for a pallet? what happens if tiles arrive broken? Answer this on the site and you remove the fear that blocks a remote order.
And everywhere: reviews. A renovation is a big expense and a nervous customer. Google reviews from people who finished their bathroom and are happy do more than any sales copy you could write.
How much a website for a tile store costs
It depends on how big the catalog is and whether you want online ordering or just quote requests. Here are our real reference points:
| What you get | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page — a single showroom, a few flagship collections, calculator + WhatsApp quote request | small store or warehouse wanting presence and leads | €290–490 |
| Presentation site — catalog by category, collection pages, project gallery, advice | store with a varied offer and a showroom | €490–890 |
| Online store — full catalog, filters, cart, ordering | distributor selling remotely too | from €690 |
| Maintenance — catalog updates, stock, new photos | any active store | from €29/month |
| AEO/GEO — appearing in AI answers and local search | anyone wanting long-term visibility | from €290 |
If you want to understand exactly what each option includes and why prices differ, we wrote at length about how much a website costs. In short: you're not paying for a website, you're paying for a salesperson who also works at night.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an online store with card payment, or is a catalog with quote requests enough?+
For most tile stores, a visual catalog with a WhatsApp quote-request button is enough at the start. Customers will want to come to the showroom to touch the material before ordering anyway, and large orders are negotiated (quantity, shipping, lot remainders). A full online store with cart and payment makes sense if you sell a lot remotely, to other towns.
How do I put all my collections on the site if I have hundreds of models from several suppliers?+
You don't have to add everything at once. We start with flagship and most-searched collections (wood-look, marble, large formats), organized by room and look. The rest is added over time through maintenance. A catalog of 40–60 well-photographed products sells better than 400 dumped in a pile.
Should I put prices on the site or is "price on request" better?+
We recommend indicative per-sqm prices where you can — a customer who sees no price often leaves for a competitor. If prices vary by quantity or change often, you can show a range or "from X per sqm" and leave the negotiation for the quote message. Price transparency brings more qualified leads.
How do I show up in searches when someone looks for tiles in my town?+
Through a combination of a site optimized for real terms ("tile ceramics" + your town, look types) plus a complete Google Business Profile with showroom photos and reviews. We don't promise the number 1 spot on Google — no serious agency can guarantee that — but we build the site and profile so you have a real chance of appearing when people in your area search.
How long does it take to build the site if I want to catch the renovation season?+
A landing page with a few collections and a calculator can be done in a few days once we have your photos and data. A presentation site with a category catalog takes longer, depending on how many products we organize. Best is to start with a free demo — you see the concrete version before deciding and you don't waste time.
