Website for a Private Kindergarten in Miercurea Ciuc, Checked First by the Families Who Know You

Miercurea Ciuc is a town where almost every line on a kindergarten's website has a witness. If you write that the children go outside every day, even in January, there is a mother in town who knows whether it's true. If you write that meals are cooked on site, there is a grandfather who has smelled the soup from the gate. Families know each other, most of them speak Hungarian at home, and they look for a kindergarten in their own language first.

For a kindergarten in Csíkszereda, that's an advantage — as long as it's used honestly. At MPO Web Studio we write pages for kindergartens and after-school programs that are so concrete the parents who already have children with you could sign them without changing a word.

How it works

  1. 1We build you a free demo of your site
  2. 2You tell us what to change
  3. 3You pay only if you love it

A town where every promise has witnesses

In Ciuc, parents don't only meet at the kindergarten gate. They see each other at the older child's hockey practice, at the market on Saturday morning, at the Sunday service, at school celebrations. That's where people talk, without you in the room, about whether the group went out into the yard even on the minus-twenty morning, who cooked when the cook was ill, whether the middle-group teacher stayed on this year. A family that has just found you online will hear that version too, sooner or later. If your site promises more than the children with you actually experience, the gap comes out quickly and costs you more than a modest site ever would. If it says exactly what they experience, every story heard around town becomes a confirmation.

At minus fifteen, parents here ask “how do you go out”, not “do you go out”

Winters in the Ciuc basin are among the harshest in the country, and the families here grew up with them. A parent in Csíkszereda isn't alarmed that you take the children into the yard in December; they're alarmed if you don't take them out at all until March. They want to know at what frost you stay indoors after all, whether you go sledging and where, whether the older ones get onto the ice and who holds their hand, what to pack in the backpack in the morning: snow trousers, a second pair of gloves, spare socks. These are things your teachers do out of habit, without thinking they're worth mentioning. Written on the site, with photos of your own yard under snow, they show a local family that a child's day doesn't stop at the first frost.

The first readers of the mock-up: families who already walk through your door

Nobody reads a kindergarten's website more carefully than a parent whose child has been there for a year. They know the schedule by heart, they know who cooks and what they were told at enrolment. That's why the mock-up we build for you free of charge — with your kindergarten's name, your groups and the texts in Hungarian and Romanian — doesn't go to the public first, but to three or four of your families. Pick them differently: one that joined this autumn and still remembers what it couldn't find anywhere, one that has known you for years, one that speaks Romanian at home. Ask them to find how late a child can stay and to point out the line that isn't true. You gather what they say and send it to us in one go, and we use the list in the included round of revisions. Prices start at €290, publishing takes a few days, and for a full week after launch — the 7-day guarantee — we fix anything you report at no cost.

Frequently asked questions

Most of our parents speak Hungarian at home. Do we build the site in Hungarian first and translate it into Romanian, or the other way round?+

We start from the language most of your families use with you, which is Hungarian, and write the Romanian as an equally careful version, not an appendix. It matters most for everyday words — snack time, the afternoon nap, the youngest group — which parents here use in a particular way. That's exactly why one of the families testing the mock-up should speak Romanian: they'll immediately spot a sentence that sounds translated.

Which of our current parents should we ask to look at the mock-up, so we don't just get compliments?+

Not the most enthusiastic ones. Choose a family that enrolled recently and still remembers its first questions, one that once had a complaint and stayed anyway, and one that came through a recommendation. Give them a precise task — find, within ten seconds, what to bring on the first day — instead of asking for a general opinion. A task reveals what's missing; a vague question only brings politeness.

And what if a parent tells us during the test that the problem is with the kindergarten, not the site?+

That's the most valuable answer you can get before launch. You have two honest options: fix that thing, or write it on the site exactly as it is, without dressing it up. What we won't do is put a promise on the page that families in Ciuc can contradict the first time they talk to each other. A more modest site that's true down to the last line brings enrolments that don't pull out after a month.

Is the two-language version included in the €290, or is it extra?+

The €290 is the starting point for a one-page site. A second language means texts written and checked a second time, so it's added to the total, and you get the exact figure in writing before any work begins. You see the mock-up for free anyway, in both languages, so you can judge whether it's worth it before paying anything.
