Kindergarten Website in Slobozia, with the Blizzard Rule and Dated Notices
Slobozia sits in the middle of the Bărăgan plain, on the Ialomița river, and has been the county seat since 1968. Here winter isn't just a season but a logistics problem: the crivăț wind and blizzards can close roads overnight, and the evening before a blizzard warning starts the same way at every kindergarten, with parents asking one question: are we coming in tomorrow?
The answer is usually given in a hurry, in the evening, case by case, and it sounds a little different every winter. At MPO Web Studio, we make sites for Slobozia's kindergartens and after-school programs where the rule and the notice sit in the same place, each with its own date. It all starts with a no-cost demo, asked for in a WhatsApp message.

The evening before the blizzard, and a rule written in autumn
When a blizzard warning is issued for the Bărăgan, messages start arriving the evening before. Some parents work the next day regardless and need the group open, others would rather keep their child home, and those who drive into Slobozia from outside town want to know whether it's worth setting off. When classes are suspended in schools, many parents aren't sure whether that applies to your kindergarten too. Put the rule on your site in advance, not on the night of the storm: under what conditions the kindergarten stays open, on what reduced schedule, by what time you announce a closure and through which channel. A rule written in October turns a blizzard morning in January into an ordinary winter day, not a crisis where you answer thirty messages with the same sentence.
A town where the news gets there before you do
Slobozia is small enough that many parents end up in the same handful of groups: the class group, the building group, the kindergarten group. A line dropped there — “the fee went up”, “the teacher from the middle group is leaving”, “they're full” — reaches families within hours who haven't even walked through your gate yet. Some of it is true, some only half true, and you're the last to hear. A parent considering enrollment hears the rumor first and only then looks for the source; if there is no source, the rumor stays. A website kept up to date is where anyone can quietly check what holds right now: this year's fee, today's team, the groups still taking children. You can't stop talk in town, but you can put a reference next to it that you control.
The dated notice: where any rumour can be checked
On your kindergarten's website, built by us, every notice has its date written at the top and, once it has expired, stays in an archive: the closure on the blizzard day, this year's fee, who takes over the middle group from October. When the town is buzzing with “the fee's gone up” or “the teacher is leaving”, parents no longer have to choose between two versions; they open the page and see what you said and when. The archive also shows something that can't be written outright: that you announce things in good time, every time. You write the notice yourself, from your phone. To show you how it looks, we prepare a free demo under your kindergarten's name, with a few of your real notices; you ask for it on WhatsApp and receive it as a link. If we go ahead, the price starts at 290 €, the site is up and running within a few days, your feedback fits into a single round of revisions, and any fix in the first 7 days of operation is on us. You'll find us in Cluj-Napoca, but there's no need to meet: everything runs on WhatsApp.
Frequently asked questions
Some of our parents are separated, and one of them isn't in the WhatsApp group. How do they find out what's happening at the kindergarten?+
Through the same link as everyone else. The notices page doesn't depend on who has been added to which group, so a parent who lives apart, a grandmother or a nanny sees exactly the same information on the same day. You no longer have to remember who you forgot to forward a message to, and nobody can say they didn't know about a closure or a meeting.
Which notices can be visible to anyone, and which should go only to the families in a group?+
Public notices are the ones that concern everybody and say nothing about a particular child: the holiday schedule, a blizzard closure, the date of the Christmas show, the enrollment period. Anything about a single child or the group's health — a contagious illness, a behavior issue, an overdue payment — stays in a private message or a password-protected area. We suggest the split when we build the site.
We announced a closure for the blizzard, but in the morning the roads were open and we took children in after all. What do we do with the notice?+
You don't delete it, you correct it in plain view: underneath you add the time and the change, for example “open from 9, reduced schedule”, and the archive keeps both lines. The parent who read the first version in the evening understands what happened, and the one who hears the next day that “they said one thing and did another” finds the explanation with its date. The date next to each line shows that you're hiding nothing about what changed overnight.
We need only a few pages, but a notices area kept up to date. What amount should we set aside?+
We start at 290 €, and a small structure — introduction, groups, notices, contact — is exactly the kind of site that starts from that level. You use the notices area yourself, without paying us for each announcement. The final figure arrives on paper alongside the no-cost demo, before you commit to anything.
