Guesthouse Website in Piatra Neamț, with Free Nights on Show

In Piatra Neamț, a good share of guests don't plan their trip months ahead. They come from the cities of Romanian Moldavia, a few hours' drive away, and set off for the mountains when sunshine is forecast over Ceahlău or a clear day on the lake at Bicaz. The decision is made towards the end of the week, sometimes on the very morning they leave, and the first message doesn't ask about the rooms, the view or breakfast.

It asks one thing: any rooms left? The same line goes out to four or five guesthouses at once, and the room goes to whoever answers yes first. If you're in the kitchen or with guests in the garden and see the message an hour later, you're left with an empty room on exactly the weekend everyone wanted the mountains.

The Ceahlău forecast decides the weekend

The mountains around the town are visited according to the weather. A group planning to climb Ceahlău or drive through Cheile Bicazului up to Lacul Roșu checks the forecast on Thursday and Friday, not a month ahead. If the weather turns, some cancel, others switch to the monasteries of the county or to a day in town, with the cable car up Cozla and an evening in the centre. For you that means bookings that appear and vanish within one week, cancellations the day before and rooms freed up all of a sudden, which someone else would take at once if only they knew. People looking for your guesthouse on those days have no patience for long descriptions: they want to find out quickly whether there's a bed for them.

Long weekends empty the cities and fill Neamț

When a long weekend comes up around 1 May, Whitsun or 1 December, a great many people think of the same road to the mountains in the same week. The good rooms in the area go quickly, and then the tiring part begins: calls and messages for nights you no longer have, each getting the same reply from you, typed between two chores. Then comes the reverse: a family cancels, a room frees up for Saturday, and your only way to announce it is to ring back the people you turned down yesterday, if you still have their numbers. In those weeks you're not short of guests. What you're short of is a place where anyone can see, without you answering every call, what is still free and what isn't.

Free nights visible before the first message

The free demo you get from us puts a simple calendar beside each room's photos: nights already taken show as closed, free ones stay open, and booking requests only go out for dates when you really have space. You update it from your phone in a few taps whenever you confirm someone or get a cancellation. The effect shows on sunny weekends: no more answering dozens of “any rooms left?”, and the room freed up on Friday evening is found by whoever happens to be searching right then. For a finished accommodation site of ours, open /demo/turism. Costs start at 290€, the timeline is counted in days, you get one round of revisions, and once it's published, a guarantee of 7 days covers anything that slipped through. We discuss everything on WhatsApp, from our base in Cluj-Napoca.

Frequently asked questions

If a night shows as free and two people request it the same evening, who gets it?+

Whoever you confirm. The calendar shows what's free, but a request doesn't sell the room automatically: it reaches you on WhatsApp and the decision stays with you. The first one gets the confirmation, and you offer the second another night or another room. If you ever want instant booking with payment, it can be added, but the calendar works perfectly well without it.

My rooms are on Booking too. How do I avoid selling the same night twice?+

Booking gives you a calendar link that can be connected to your site, so nights booked there show as taken on your page without marking them again. It works the other way as well, so direct bookings get closed on Booking too. The sync isn't instant, so on busy weekends you still confirm each request yourself before promising anything.

Guests ask me to hold a room until they're sure about the weather. What do I tell them?+

A written rule, the same for everyone, saves you the haggling. For example: a room is held until Thursday noon, then goes back into the calendar if no confirmation has come. Put on the site, the rule gets read before anyone asks, and you're no longer left with a night blocked for someone who, in the end, chose to stay home.

I have six rooms. Does a site with a calendar start at the same amount as a simple one?+

The base is the same: 290€ gets you the page with your rooms, photos and WhatsApp requests. A calendar for every room and the Booking link are extras, priced line by line in the offer, so you can see where the money goes. You'll know the total before you say yes.
