A Website with Direct Orders for Your Restaurant or Café in Alba Iulia

In Alba Iulia, the same kitchen cooks for two different towns. One is the town people visit, inside the walls of Alba Carolina: from spring to autumn, especially at weekends and around 1 December, visitors stroll between the bastions, will eat just one meal here and pick the place on their phone, somewhere between one gate and the next. The other is the town the locals live in: on a Tuesday in January few climb the walls, and the kitchen runs on office lunches and dinners ordered home to Ampoi or to the Lower Town.

The first group discovers you. The second already knows you and comes back, but often orders out of habit through whatever delivery app is at hand. At MPO Web Studio we build websites for Alba Iulia venues, from restaurants to cafés and bistros, that work for both towns and bring the loyal customer's order straight into your kitchen.

How it works

  1. 1We build you a free demo of your site
  2. 2You tell us what to change
  3. 3You pay only if you love it

Summer belongs to the Citadel, winter to the neighbourhoods

The difference shows best on two ordinary days. On a Saturday in May, people step off coaches or leave the car by the Citadel, go into the two cathedrals, walk the walls and, around noon, look for a table close to wherever they ended up. They don't know the town, don't know what's good and don't want to waste their only meal here. On a Thursday in February, the room belongs to locals: the civil servant grabbing lunch on a break, the family ordering soup and a roast for the evening, the student who wants a pizza delivered to the dorm. A local venue's website has to carry both days: in May, show the table and the terrace to someone who doesn't know you; in February, shorten the path to the order for someone who has known you for years.

Commission paid on customers you won long ago

For the tourist who comes to the Citadel once, the app's commission has a logic: the app brought them to you, and you wouldn't have found them on your own. For the local from Ampoi or the Lower Town who has been ordering from you for years, the logic flips. No app brought that person to you. They knew you from a meal in your dining room, a lunch with colleagues or a neighbour who praised you, and simply got into the habit of ordering through the app. And with every one of their orders, you pay again for a discovery made long ago. In winter, when the Citadel empties and the kitchen runs almost entirely on these people, the difference adds up month after month. The site doesn't take you off the apps; it gives your old customers a route on which their order no longer pays anyone an entry fee.

A direct order reaches you whole

On the website, the customer picks from your menu, notes what he wants and for what time, and the order arrives on your WhatsApp or your phone, to you alone. No intermediary keeps a share of it, and the website has a package price that doesn't grow with the number of orders. We don't ask you to leave the apps: for the tourist in the Citadel or for anyone who hasn't heard of you yet, they stay useful. The website is for the person who has already tasted your food and wants to come back. We build your mockup for free, starting from your venue, not from a template; the public example at /demo/horeca is only a starting point. Packages start from 290 €, the work wraps up in a few days, one round of revisions is included, and once the site is live you get a 7-day guarantee. We work remotely, from Cluj-Napoca.

Frequently asked questions

If I get a website with ordering, do I have to leave the delivery apps?+

No, and we wouldn't advise doing it overnight. The apps bring you people who don't know you yet, and that's worth something, especially in the months with visitors. The website works for everyone else: for the person who has eaten your food once and wants to order again. Over time you see for yourself what share of orders comes in directly, and you decide, on your own figures, how much room to leave the apps.

On 1 December the town is packed and the kitchen can't keep up. Can I pause website orders for a day?+

Yes. We put a notice on the order page that you switch on and off yourself: for instance, that on the national day you only take table bookings and that deliveries resume on 2 December. Customers in town see it straight away and don't call for nothing, while you keep the kitchen for the guests in the room. You can do the same on any day when the room is full or the team is on holiday.

I don't have a courier. How do I take website orders without promising delivery all the way to Ampoi?+

You state on the site exactly what you offer, and we make it visible from the first screen: pickup only, delivery you handle yourself in a few neighbourhoods, or both, with the hours for each option. For many locals your venue is on the way home anyway, and an order collected at the agreed time arrives warm and with no delivery fee. What you don't offer doesn't appear as an option, so nobody orders something you can't bring.

Does each order that comes through the website cost me anything?+

No. The website is paid as a package, from 290 €, and the price stays the same however many orders you receive. The order comes to you, and the customer pays on pickup or on delivery, as with an order placed by phone. A per-transaction cost appears in only one case: if, later on, you want card payment directly on the site. Then the payment processor takes its own fee, and we tell you in advance so you can choose knowingly.
