Website for a Gym or Fitness Studio in Slobozia

A gym in Slobozia gets two starts every year. The first comes with the school bell: in summer the town scatters on holidays and trips, and in September it gathers back all at once, with its weekly routine rebuilt. The second comes later and more quietly, from the fields of Ialomița: anyone who works in farming is tied up with the harvest until nearly the end of autumn, and only then makes time for themselves.

For a gym, a CrossFit box or a yoga studio, that means two waves of new members: a big one in September and a quieter one once the maize and sunflowers are in. Both come for months, not for one evening, provided that on the day they decide, their phone shows them a page that answers their questions. At MPO Web Studio we build gym websites designed around this double calendar.

In August, parents in Slobozia don't yet know what time they'll be free

In summer, Slobozia empties in its own way: Saturdays are spent at the lake in Amara, holidays are taken at the seaside, and the children stay with their grandparents in the countryside. That's when many parents think about the gym, between a swim and an evening with friends, but they don't sign up yet, for a perfectly ordinary reason: they don't know what time they'll be free once autumn starts. That's decided by the children's timetable, and the timetable only comes out in the first week of school: the time the little one starts, the day the older one finishes later, the practice or club in the afternoon. A parent who sees a single time for the beginners' group on your page puts it off until things are clear, and by the time they are, the group has started without them. One who sees the same start date with two options, one in the morning and one in the evening, holds a place as early as August and picks the time once the timetable arrives. For you, the difference between those two pages is a member secured in summer or someone who starts looking again in October and may end up at another gym.

For people who work the land, gym season starts after the harvest

Ialomița is a county of plains, right in the Bărăgan, and some of the people who live in Slobozia work beyond the edge of town: farmers, agronomists, machine operators, people who sell seed and fertiliser or keep a farm's books. For them, September is no month of new beginnings. Sunflowers and maize are harvested into October, sometimes later, and harvest days start before sunrise and end after sunset. Only when the machines are put away does this person have free evenings, and then they have them all winter, until spring fieldwork begins. It's a valuable client: comes regularly, is used to getting up early and isn't scared of effort. But they rarely recognise themselves on a page written only for “back to school”. Tell them plainly that there's a start for them too — a group beginning in November, morning hours kept through the cold months, a membership shaped around the season when they actually have time — and you win a member the September wave would never have brought you.

The first school bell finds your page already online

The September wave doesn't wait for a website started in September: people who decide on the beach search in August, and by the first week of school they're already at your door. So we work in summer. You send us your membership list on WhatsApp, the timetable you'll run from autumn and a few photos of the gym, and we build your mockup on the working gym site at /demo/fitness, with your name, groups and prices in place of the sample ones. From the start we add the date your beginners' group begins and a line for people who want to start only after the harvest, so the same site works for both waves. You browse it in the August quiet and tell us in one message what to change: you get a single round of revisions, included in the price. You only pay if the mockup has convinced you. A gym website starts at 290€, goes live within a few days, and after launch you have a 7-day guarantee. We're based in Cluj-Napoca and work remotely, so you don't miss a single evening at the gym to meet us.

Frequently asked questions

People who come once “to see what it's like” often leave with a “we'll see”. What do I put on the site so a trial ends in a membership?+

Write what comes after the trial, not just the trial. Next to the button for the first session, put step two: the group the person joins from the following week, the price of the first month and what it includes — a four-week programme, who follows it, when the assessment is repeated. If you do this, also say that the trial session is deducted from the membership for anyone who signs up the same week. Someone who leaves your gym already knowing what they're doing next Tuesday has no reason to say “we'll see”.

In September people sign up on any day of the month. How do I show when a membership starts counting, so there are no arguments at the desk?+

Write the rule once, right under the prices, in the words a client would use: “a monthly membership runs for 30 days from your first visit” or, if you work with calendar months, how much is paid for the days left in September. Either option is fine, as long as people read it before they pay. In the autumn weeks, when lots of new faces pass through reception, one clear line on the site spares you exactly the conversation that spoils a first impression.

People who work in the fields tell me in September they'll come “once the maize is in”. How do I not lose them until then?+

Give them somewhere to leave that intention right away. On the winter group's page we put a three-line form — name, phone, the month they expect to be free of the fields — and the requests collect in one list for you. When the harvest is over, you don't hunt through your contacts: you message the people on the list with the day the group starts. For someone who has spent the whole autumn in the fields, a message that's waiting for them weighs more than any advert.

Parents split the school run: one drops the child off in the morning, the other picks them up in the afternoon. Can I show a membership for two, used at different times?+

You can, and in September it's an option people read carefully. We put it in the membership list as a separate choice, with its rule stated simply: two people from the same household, each with their own entry, each at the time that suits them — one at the morning class after dropping the child at the school gate, the other in the evening. We also say what isn't allowed, for example that the membership can't be passed on to a friend, if that's your rule. A family that sees it fits entirely into your gym stops looking at two different gyms.
