FAQ Videos That Cut Down Your Phone Calls: What to Film for Each Service

How to film a few short FAQ videos that answer customers automatically and free up your phone for real sales conversations.

If you answer the same questions ten times a day - "how much?", "how long does it take?", "do you work weekends?" - your phone isn't bringing in new clients, it's eating your day. Every repetitive call is time stolen from real work and from the customers who are actually ready to buy.

The fix isn't a complicated chatbot. It's a handful of short videos, filmed on your phone, where you answer once what everyone asks. You put them on your site, send them on WhatsApp, drop them in your bio. The customer finds the answer themselves, and the ones who still call are already closer to deciding. In this article I'll show you exactly which questions to film, service by service, and how to build your FAQ video library without becoming a filmmaker.

Why a 40-second video beats a page of text

People skim, but they'll watch a clip to the end if they see it answers their exact question. A short video does three things text can't do as well:

  • It shows your face and voice, so it builds trust before the first call.
  • It answers the objection in your own tone, not in cold website language.
  • It can be sent instantly on WhatsApp when someone asks, instead of typing the same paragraph for the hundredth time.

You don't need expensive production. Your phone, the light from a window and a tidy background are enough. What matters is answering clearly, not dragging it out, and stating the question up front - so the customer knows in the first second they've landed in the right place.

How to find the questions worth filming

Don't invent questions, collect them from reality. You already have the material - you just never wrote it down.

  • Open your WhatsApp and message history and note everything people asked you in the last month.
  • Recall the three or four questions you hear on almost every call.
  • Write the objections separately - the things that make people hesitate, not just ask ("it's too expensive", "I'm not sure I qualify", "how quickly does it wear out?").

Group them by theme: price, timing, warranty, hours, what's included and what isn't. When you see a question comes up with nearly every customer, that one gets filmed first. Start with five or six videos, not thirty. A short list that's actually filmed beats a long list that stays on paper.

What to film, service by service

Every field has its own trap questions. A few concrete examples to start from:

  • Salon / beauty: "How long does a treatment last?", "Does it look natural?", "What do I do at home afterwards?", "Why do prices differ between stylists?"
  • Construction / renovation: "Do you give a quote first?", "How long for an apartment?", "Who buys the materials?", "What happens if we run past the deadline?"
  • Dental / medical: "Does it hurt?", "Can I pay in instalments?", "How long is the wait for an appointment?", "What do check-ups include?"
  • Auto repair: "How long is the diagnosis?", "Do you give a courtesy car?", "Why is it cheaper elsewhere?"

For each, the formula is simple: state the question, give the honest answer in a sentence or two, then add the next step ("message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you exactly"). Answer the price question too, even with a range - customers who run from the money conversation aren't your customers anyway.

Where to put the videos so they actually cut your calls

A video filmed and forgotten in your gallery helps no one. It has to be exactly where the question appears.

  • On your site, an FAQ section with a video for each answer - next to the button, not buried in the footer.
  • On WhatsApp Business, saved as quick replies you send when someone asks, instead of retyping.
  • On your Google profile and social media, as posts or highlights, where people find you before they call.

The point isn't to stop every call, it's to stop the calls that go nowhere. Someone who calls after seeing the price and the timeline is calling to buy, not to ask. That's how we do it at MPO Web Studio: when we build the site, we put the FAQ section right next to the contact form, we prepare a ready-made demo before you pay anything, and we work entirely remotely - so it doesn't matter what city you're in.

How to film them all in two hours, once

Don't block off a whole day. Do them all at once, so you don't keep coming back to each one separately.

  • Write the question and two or three answer ideas on paper. Don't memorise word for word, just the ideas.
  • Set the phone at eye level, with a window in front of you, and film horizontally.
  • Film all the videos in one session, wearing the same clothes, in the same spot - it looks consistent and you get through it fast.
  • If you fumble, don't start over: stop, breathe, redo just that sentence.

Don't chase perfection. An authentic video where you come across as a real person convinces more than a polished, cold one. Once you have them, update them once a year or when prices change - the rest of the time they work for you on their own.

Frequently asked questions

How many videos do I need to start?+

Five or six are enough at first. Film the questions you hear on almost every call first - price, duration, what the service includes - and add more as you notice what else people ask. Better to have a few filmed and published than a long list that stays in your head.

I'm not comfortable on camera. Do I really have to appear?+

It helps enormously for the customer to see you, because trust comes from a face and a voice. But if it's hard, you can start with your voice over footage of your business, or with text on screen. After the first few takes you get used to it, and a natural video, even an imperfect one, convinces more than a cold one.

What do I do about the price question? I don't want competitors to see it.+

Competitors already know your prices. The customer who can't see them only calls to ask how much, then disappears. Give at least a range, or explain why the price varies case by case. That filters the serious buyers and spares you the calls that go nowhere.

How much does this cost me?+

The filming itself is free - all you need is a phone, natural light and a tidy spot. A cost only appears if you want them edited nicely or cleanly integrated into your site. With us, when we build the site, the FAQ video section is part of the project and we place it right next to the contact button.

How often do I need to update them?+

Rarely. You only re-film when prices, hours or services change. The rest of the time they work on their own for months. That's why the two-hour effort is worth it once - they answer the customer hundreds of times without you picking up the phone.
