Construction Company SEO for Builders, Plumbers and Renovation Firms
A construction, plumbing or renovation company gets enquiries from Google when people search for a service and an area: a builder in Cluj, the price of a flat renovation, a plumber nearby. To show up there you need a Google Business Profile set up as a service-area business, a portfolio of real projects, a clear page for every service, and a quote form that actually helps you estimate.
Your best argument is finished work. We turn it into pages Google can show, with the town, the duration and photos from the site.
Three searches, three pages: service, price, emergency
Construction searches come in three kinds, and each needs a different page:
- service plus place: „firmă construcții cluj” (construction company Cluj), „firmă construcții case la cheie” (turnkey houses), „instalator sanitar cluj” (plumber Cluj). Google shows a map with a few companies first, then websites.
- price intent: „renovare apartament 2 camere preț” (two-room flat renovation price). The person is not calling yet; they want to know whether it fits their budget.
- urgency: „instalator cluj urgențe” (emergency plumber Cluj). Hours, a phone that gets answered and distance decide it.
For the map, Google says the order depends on relevance, distance and prominence. Prominence means reviews, mentions and a website with work that can be checked. For content, Google looks for signs of real experience: who did the job, where and how. A portfolio with site photos and details says more than any text about “quality and reliability”.
Demand is seasonal too. Exterior work and roofing are searched mostly in the warm season, heating systems need attention before winter, and plumbing emergencies happen all year. Pages go live before the peak, not in the middle of it.
Service area, a portfolio from real sites, a quote form with photos
In the SEO Foundation we start from what you already have: we fix what doesn't work ourselves and plan the structure:
- your Google Business Profile as a service-area business: if clients do not come to your office, the address is hidden and we set the areas you really work in (Google allows up to 20 cities or postcodes);
- the structure of your service pages (turnkey houses, flat renovation, plumbing, heating or electrical installations, roofing): each one covers what is included, how the job runs and what drives the cost;
- the structure of the portfolio: what a project page contains (location, what was done, duration, materials, before and after photos).
The number of new pages and features, such as a quote form with photo or floor-plan upload so you can estimate before a site visit, is agreed in the offer.
We only build area pages where you have something different to say: projects done there, local specifics.
On Local, your profile gets site photos every month and posts about finished jobs, so anyone who finds you on the map sees a company working now, not two years ago.
Growth also targets price and research searches, with articles timed to the seasons, for example a cost guide for renovating a two-room flat, with your real ranges and what changes them.
Cloned town pages, borrowed photos, “licensed” without ANRE
- Dozens of identical “Renovations in [town]” pages. If only the town name changes, Google's spam policies treat them as doorway pages. An area page only makes sense with projects and details from that area.
- Google profiles with fake addresses in every town or at a virtual office. They are not eligible and risk suspension. For several towns we use the service area.
- Photos of other people's work. Images taken from the internet usually breach copyright and mislead clients (Romanian Law 363/2007). We only use your projects.
- “Licensed plumber” without a licence. Work on natural gas and electrical installations may only be carried out by people and companies authorised by ANRE, the Romanian energy regulator. We do not write “authorised”, “gas work” or “licensed electrician” without a valid authorisation; if you have one, we display it.
- “The cheapest company” or “the best builder in town” without proof. That can be misleading advertising (Law 158/2008).
- Bought reviews, reviews in exchange for a discount, or asking only happy clients. All break Google's rules; we do not do them or recommend them.
We do not promise rankings or a number of enquiries per month. We promise the work delivered every month.
Roofs before spring, boilers before autumn
Technical fixes and the Google profile are done in 2–4 weeks. The portfolio grows at the pace of your jobs: every finished project can become a project page, and for that we need photos and details from you.
Rankings usually move in 3–6 months. That is why seasonal content is prepared early: roofing and exterior pages before spring, boiler and heating pages before autumn.
Frequently asked questions
- I don't have an office clients visit. Can I still appear on Google Maps?
- Yes, as a service-area business. Your address stays hidden and you set up to 20 areas (cities or postcodes) you work in. A virtual office is not accepted as an address, and profiles with invented addresses risk suspension.
- Should I make a page for every town in the county?
- Only where you have different content: projects done in that area, local details. Identical pages where only the town name changes are treated as doorway pages under Google's spam policies and can make the site rank lower.
- Should I show prices when every job is different?
- It is worth publishing ranges and explaining what changes them: size, starting condition, materials, deadline. People really do search for the price of renovating a two-room flat. An honest cost guide plus a form where they can upload photos or a floor plan brings better-prepared enquiries. You still give the final quote after an assessment.
- I also do gas and electrical work. Can I say “licensed”?
- Only if you hold a valid ANRE authorisation for that work, in which case we display it on the site. Without it we will not write “authorised”, “gas work” or “licensed electrician”, because it would be misleading advertising and exposes you legally.
